After the Talks: Paris and Beyond

The COP-21 agreement is a milestone achievement in the international effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  But much work remains to be done.  For an insider report on the COP-21 agreement and the path ahead, please join us as we host David Victor, Professor of International Relations at the School of Global Policy and Strategy at UCSD and Director of the Laboratory on International Law and Regulation.

Professor Victor is a leading contributor to the Nobel-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and internationally renowned expert on the politics and economics of climate change and the policies and technologies to manage it.  In its review of Professor Victor's latest book, Global Warming Gridlock, The Economist magazine described him as "broadly versed in climate change, good on the science, the energy-related business and the politics as well as the policy, and [;;;an];;; engaging writer Mr Victor has delivered one of the most thought-provoking analyses of policy responses to climate change for some time."

In "After the Talks: Paris and Beyond", Professor Victor will share his perspectives on the fraught, decades-long process leading up to COP-21, and the challenges facing participating countries as they attempt to make good on their commitments.
