Cornell and the Ivy Plus Clubs of San Diego invite you to an afternoon of musical enchantment with the La Jolla Symphony. Cornell alumna Jennifer Khoe, M.D., violinist and general surgeon, will be performing in the ensemble.

Time: Light refreshments will be served from 12:30-1 p.m., followed by a pre-concert lecture by the conductor from 1-1:30 p.m. The performance begins at 2 p.m.

Concert Description: Where would we be without the mentors and teachers in our lives? Alongside a moving work by UCSD faculty member and Pulitzer Prize winner Anthony Davis, anticipation builds as we prepare for the world premiere for our 2024-2025 Nee Commission, bestowed upon a UCSD graduate student in composition. And amidst the whirlwind of Petrouchka, Stravinsky pays homage to his own influential teacher, Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
