The Stuart Collection at UC San Diego turns a campus walk into a treasure hunt, with more than 20 site-specific artworks woven into buildings, paths, and landscapes across the 1,200-acre campus.
With our private docent-led tour, you’ll learn a story, experience a surprise, or discover a clever relationship of the work to its surroundings.
The works are not just placed on campus; they interact with architecture, scale, and terrain, so the walk itself becomes part of the art. The variety is part of the fun: some pieces are bold and playful, while others are quiet and subtle.
This open-air museum is free, outdoors, and full of pieces that are both world-class and wonderfully unexpected.
